Thank you so much for the beautiful and delicious cupcakes! Flavors were amazingly creative!!
So delicious! I wanted cupcakes and they were able to provide them same day which was amazing because when I tasted them they were made the same day. They were delicious. I had never tried Mochi cupcakes before so it was fun to try different flavors with my kids. They are so worth it and beautifully wrapped. I hope they will sell at more coffee shop locations soon.
First Mochi cupcakes I've ever tried! My boyfriend got me a 4pack of cupcakes in lieu of a birthday cake and I'm so glad he did. The cupcakes are pretty and a luxurious dessert to indulge in. At first I was shocked by the price but now I can justify them. The icing is filled with flavor and the mochi sits nicely at the bottom. My favorite was the strawberry lychee! The Thai tea wasn't quite Thai tea to me and this was our least favorite tasted a bit pumpkiny or savory. I also couldn't distinguish the flavors in the ice sea salt coffee. The matcha croissants were so yummy! Tastes like a Porto's cheese roll with matcha chocolate drizzled on top. I tried it toasted and not toasted. When I toasted it, I think the chocolate got a little burnt even when I toasted it for a short time. The croissant may be a bit sweet for some but I still think it's worth a try! 4 cupcakes rings up to $24.50 and the minimum order is $25.. so we were a bit forced to order the matcha croissants, glad we did but just keep in mind the minimum!
When you take a bite of one of these cupcakes, you are no longer in your home in San Diego. You're transported to a petite cafe in Paris, drinking a cafe latte and devouring these delicious treats while spending the afternoon people watching. Pixie Crusts cupcakes are superb. The inclusion of mochi in the dessert is fantastic! And don't get me started on the frosting!! Stellar! In particular, I highly recommend passion fruit/mango/coconut, lychee/strawberry, and rose.
I won an Instagram giveaway which was Pixie Crust Desserts' mochi cupcakes and pastries. Owner contacted me immediately to schedule pick up. First off, the cupcakes look beautiful. The icing is not very sweet which is a plus and not stacked too high like some other gourmet cupcakes. It has a good icing and cake ratio which is important to me. The cake portion is so so good. Moist, fluffy and soft. Not dense at all! I love the Asian flavors incorporated which makes the cupcakes different from others. The added mochi goes really well with the cupcakes too. I ate two cupcakes in a row! And shared the remaining with my neighbors which I now kind of wish I didn't . Guess I'll have to buy some more after tasting this giveaway! I also received some danishes but haven't eaten them yet. They look good too and on par with the famous Porto's in LA. Lastly, as an avid baker myself, these cupcakes are no. 1 in my books right now. I've eaten many cupcakes and Pixie Crust Desserts does a superb job. I highly recommend.
