Right in the heart of the Gaslamp district of downtown San Diego. The convention center is across the street. Plenty of restaurants are near the property and Petco Park is around the corner! View all feedback.
What Heather Dunmoyer doesn't like about Hard Rock San Diego:
The front desk staff were friendly, and the room seemed clean but the wallpaper was peeling and there were poorly patched places on the walls. There was also a huge stain on the ceiling. The remote control for the TV was missing so I had to call and get one. The quality has certainly declined. It's next to the convention center. It can be a little loud at night but that's understandable.
We had a great lunch at Mary Jane’s diner after spending the day on the bay! Thank you Tomas, Larry and Vivian for making our lunch extra special!
This place was close to everything at the Gaslamp district. They also rented you a bike for free and it was so easy to get around. The biggest issue that I have was that the pool bar was closed during the week and the main restaurant closed at 3.
Wonderful staff and location along with restaurant options within the hotel but the rooms are outdated with old carpet, chipping paint and moldy tile in the bathroom. Other hotels nearby offer free unlimited device wifi and complimentary water... meanwhile plain water bottles in the room are $11 and the pool upstairs during this season (late April/spring)offered 0 service. I had to re connect or sign up to wifi every few days... across all devices. Not thrilled with the rooms.
I love the modern rooms, lots of closet space and drawers. And they let us in the rooms at 10am for NO EXTRA CHARGE... OMG. Love the Nobu too!
