Very nostalgic as I've had curry when I visited Japan, loved the food and service here brought back some good memories and food was awesome. Restraint is not huge and you need to arrive before or after lunch hour rush to beat the lunch crowd as the curry is good. Service was fast and attentive. I plan on going back! View all feedback.
What Danny Cheung doesn't like about Coco Ichibanya San Diego:
I would rate a typical Coco Ichibanya in Japan a 7.5 out of 10. On that scale, the San Diego Coco would be about a 5. Decent portion. But beef in the curry is too hard and the pork Katsu is neither crunchy or tender. Go there if you need a katsukare fix. Otherwise, skip it. View all feedback.

They don't have Curry Udon but all the other items are great.
Always worth the visit, feels like I'm right back to Japan. Excellent food and customer service.
If you have ever lived in Japan and miss Coco's this place did not disappoint. Restaurant is small and has a 20-30 minute wait list but more than worth it !!!The flavors were on point and the service was pretty fast as well. This place will be the reason I come to San Diego.
