Cafe Athena - S San Diego

One of my favorite restaurants in San Diego my go to Greek spot. I highly recommend the sea bass, the sauce is to die for. Also the chicken gyro is wonderful. And can’t miss the baklava either! Amazing food, great decor, good service excellent management. Highly recommend!

Collected takeout a few times from this restaurant. Food always excellent. Nice to sit and wait at the bar, too. Friendly and very helpful staff.

Athena Cafe is a charming spot to savor the flavors of Greece, especially with their delicious pita wrap gyro. The meat is tender, the veggies are fresh, and the tzatziki sauce is just right. Plus, our waitress was exceptionally friendly, making our visit even more enjoyable.

This is our neighborhood secret gold mine. We eat here at least once a week. Everything from the employees to the quality of food is amazing. I'm selfish and I don't want the word to get out. I want to be able to walk in and grab a seat at the bar anytime, but I know that once you go, you'll be back. And you're gonna tell your friends, then there's gonna be a wait. This place is epic and I highly recommend that you go. You won't be disappointed. Whether for a date or just to catch up with a family member, this place won't let you down.
