Was Goblinmad at The Cocoa Tree a mag?
We stopped here on our way to our cottage, and enjoyed it so much we stopped again on the way back. Very warm and friendly welcome and very dog friendly. The coffee was excellent as was the bacon baguette. My wife chose a cheese scone which was delicious. Well worth a visit. View all feedback.
What karencT3463ST dislikes about The Cocoa Tree:
This is a small cafe with only 6 tables. When we arrived there were only 3 tables being used. We sat and waited to be offered a drink but there was only one man taking orders and he couldn’t seem to be able to cope... View all feedback.
The Cocoa Tree is a lovely coffee shop located in the center of Helmsley. It was neat and cozy, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. We were treated to some of the best coffee we've ever had! I tried the cappuccino cake while my husband had the lemon cake, and both were absolutely delicious. If you're in Helmsley, we highly recommend stopping by The Cocoa Tree for a visit.
We visited Helmsley for the day with our dog and decided to stop in this restaurant for lunch. We had been here before and knew that their jacket potatoes were excellent because they have a potato oven. My wife ordered the jacket potato with beans, and I opted for the cheese one. I chose to have my cheese melted, which was the perfect choice. My jacket potato came with a side salad and coleslaw, while my wife's baked beans jacket potato was generously portioned. We also shared a pot of decaf tea, which was steeped just right to ensure it was ready to pour when it arrived. The food and drink were excellent, and we found it to be great value for money. The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were very friendly to us and our dog. It felt like being part of a family. We have visited before and will certainly come again.
I returned to this cafe for the second time and once again, it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is very welcoming, the menu offers a variety of classic dishes with generous portions and reasonable prices. It is also dog-friendly and there is enough space between tables. I highly recommend visiting if you are in the area.
