We had a great time in Rafele tonight. The food is absolutely delicious. The staff is warm and welcoming. The interior is hip and fun and the food is fantastic. You can say there is a lot of love and care that goes into everything that is plated. My only regret was that we were not with a bigger party so we could try more on the menu! Really busy restaurant, with nice ambience, but the service suffered as a result. There were lots of servers running around (literally one ran up and then down the length of the restaurant) but it wasn't clear what they were running around for, as we couldn't get their attention, and so sat drinkless during our main course. First time here…loved it! Our server she was amazing and very friendly….spoke about being from Bologna originally…excellent service started w pear salad and pizza…very tasty and fresh ingredients…I had the bolognese and my husband had the steak…perfectly cooked pasta and such tender meat in the sauce …his steak was very tender and juicy… and the cheesecake for dessert was very light and creamy for an Italian style cheesecake…just slightly bland in the flavor but still quite enjoyable!All in all a great experience.Tables are a little close together but we actually enjoyed talking to the people next to us so ended up being very enjoyable!
An overall disappointment.I’ve been really wanting to try this place for months. Finally went last week and in totality I was disappointed with nearly every part of the meal.First we were a party of six and were crammed into a table that would maybe fit four. Additionally, I had to sit with my back against the table behind me, which was weird, because I had to listen to their conversation the entire time.Drinks took about 20 minutes to get as they slowly trickle out from the bar one or two at a time. Appetizers were the only bright spot of the entire meal. They arrived quickly and were relatively good.Entrées overall were a disappointment. The pork chop was probably over 50% fat, which I would’ve said something about if anyone from the restaurant had bothered to come and check how we were doing. As it was, nobody ever returned to our table until we were done eating when the busboy simply took my food away. The pasta and fish dishes were nothing special.At that point, it wasn’t worth spending any more money to try desserts, despite being hungry, from not eating an entire entrée.Overall the service was ghostly, the food was below average, and I will not be returning.
Called and made reservation for my wife 's birthday one week prior. On day of reservation called and asked that they place a candle on whatever desert my wife ordered for her birthday Ok, not a problem and we will make sure it is done. Exact quote from young lady I spoke to. Arrived, ordered multiple appetizers for the seven of us. Appetizers arrived wrong and not what we ordered. We let it go. Ordered main courses and arrived again one of them totally incorrect. They left the main courses and never once came back with bowls for shells, nor to see if anyone wanted grated cheese. We had to ask for this 15 minutes later when we were finally able to get someones attention.Breakdown:Service: Terrible, zero personalities, anemic service at best, zero follow up. Likely the worst service so far experienced.Food: Appetizers Ok at best poorly seasoned. Main courses three of us had the seafood pasta Bland, zero taste except the pepper, essentially 7 tiny clamps total garbage as far as seafood there was none on the plate, Gnocchi likely the better of the dishes. Overall main courses with exception of Gnocchi were easily forgettable.Deserts: Would say were goodOverall: I don 't have any idea of this place gets good reviews and also a prior Michelin star restaurant ?????? That is mind boggling to me. Total waste of time money and the fact that these idiots, despite me asking and them assuring me it would be done brought the deserts to the table and my wife 's desert had no candle on it. 5 minutes later, they bring a desert with a candle and sing happy birthday to the table behind us. Total buffoons at this place and ruined a special night. My advice there are significantly much better places than this place. It is run by idiots with no personality and clearly limited IQ. Clearly evident why they are no longer a Michelin rated restaurant. Never ever again, given this place does not deserve a second chance or ever a single penny from me.

I dined here last night with my husband. Food was excellent and service was very attentive. We started with the artichoke app and also the Arancini, both excellent. They also give all tables complimentary eggplant caponata with both fresh toasted bread focaccia- sooo good! My husband and I both shared the amatriciana and the chicken Milanese- very good!! We will definitely return! In addition, I have to mention how honest the staff is. I left my purse there by accident and called the next day. It was returned to me with my full wallet untouched. I've never forgotten my purse before and was so appreciative to get it back!!
