While some guests rave about its chic interior and stunning views, others have noted a stark decline in service quality. Complaints about understaffing, long waits for food, and disappointing portion sizes have surfaced, overshadowing the beautifully presented dishes. Although the coffee received praise, concerns about its small size and the chaotic atmosphere have left many diners longing for the cozier vibe of the old establishment. With such varied feedback, prospective visitors might want to manage their expectations before stepping through the door.
We arrived around 11:45 and were told we couldn’t order lunch until 12:00. We were given menus but nobody even came to take a drinks order until after lunch service has started. Lunch arrived (bland soup and a sandwich) before drinks, we then ordered additional coffees but were asked twice what our order was because the member of staff couldn’t remember, unfortunately he still got the order wrong! When we payed the bill we were asked if everything was ok, my response was ‘food was fine but the service has been really poor’ we were met with ‘yeh we’re really busy today!’. Not even an apology which is a shame. The whole experience was average at best, I hoped for so much more as I loved visiting before the big renovations! Please pull your socks up, people are paying above average money for mediocre food and terrible service!
The food at this restaurant was good and the ambiance was nice, but the service was lacking. Despite pre-ordering, our food arrived 45 minutes later than our booking time, and for the following two hours, there was no proactive service. When we complained to the manager, we were met with a dismissive response of "I'm sorry you feel that way" without any apologies or explanation.
Went for lunch with my husband to try out the new restaurant as we loved going to the old one. Well wasn’t very impressed. It was a Friday afternoon and was very busy, anyway we were seated and after about ten minutes had our order taken, two sandwiches and two coffees. Had coffees served and then waited, and waited for our food. Finished our drinks and still no food and couldn’t get anyone attention.anyway after 1/2 hour sandwiches were delivered and were very disappointing, bread was dry on top so they had obviously been sitting on the pass for a while and were nothing special so won’t be going back.
The portion sizes of the food were very small. The soup came in half a bowl with just one slice of bread. The sandwich was tiny, and the side salad was minuscule, with only a few crisps. The atmosphere was chaotic and not at all relaxing. It is disappointing that the restaurant has lost its cozy, family-friendly vibe.
Unexpected stop, busy but we were accommodated just in time for breakfast. Beautiful surroundings and the interior is very classy. Loved the avocado, poached egg with smoked salmon. Tastefully presented. Great coffee. CM see why it's so popular
