We stumbled upon this restaurant conveniently located near where we were in Oakham. We were pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the food – it was one of the best Indian meals we've had in a while. The aromas were amazing, the dishes were fresh, and not greasy. Hussein, the front of house staff, was extremely friendly. Another great perk was that there was no service charge and no corkage fee. View all feedback.
What Joe doesn't like about Red India:
Paid £4.50 for two samosas to arrive in the delivery. I called them up to ask if this was a mistake and they said it wasn't. That's £2.25 per mediocre samosa. The most insane prices I've ever heard of for any food outside of London or Michelin star restaurants. Stick with the curries and order nothing else if u must. View all feedback.

We dined at this restaurant last night and it was truly fantastic. The restaurant was spotless, the service was top-notch, and the food was absolutely delicious. We couldn't find a single thing to dislike about it! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Warning to vegans! I ordered the vegan chili mix and it contained paneer, a dairy product. When I called the restaurant, the waiter initially tried to deny it by saying it was potato, but eventually admitted it was indeed paneer and that the chef was following an outdated menu. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Ended up here by mistake, having ordered online to collect at my local restaurant only to be told on arrival that they had no website and no order from me, I needed to go to the Oakham branch instead! I was not best pleased, but when I rang this place instead, they were very helpful, explained the mix-up (which happens a lot apparently! and gave me some complimentary side orders to make up for the inconvenience. And it was one of the tastiest curries I have ever had. Definitely going back!
