Guests have praised the staff for their friendliness and attentiveness, as well as the delicious food made with care. The menu includes unique options like squabbit pie and rabbit, with locally sourced ingredients. Despite some noise and issues with billing accuracy, diners have enjoyed meals with friends and family, whether for a special celebration or a casual Sunday lunch. The pub's character and cozy setting, along with the excellent service, make it a recommended dining destination for those in the area.
As you enter you are greeted by cosy seating and a welcoming open fire by friendly and efficient staff. However, what really makes this pub a standout venue is the quality of the food. Specialising in locally sourced game and with bread made on site everything was delicious. At £22.95 for two (very filling) courses the value for money and atmosphere made this visit the first of what will be many!
We meet our friends for a Sunday lunch several times a year it’s a good half way point for us all, we’ve tried other local gastro pubs and nowhere is as good at The Kings Arms. Had lunch here yesterday and it’s fabulous. Easy to book, loads of space to park on site, cosy atmosphere, friendly and very efficient staff and a super roast lunch. Perfect.
Absolutely fabulous. Our original accommodation fell through and I booked online 20 minutes before we turned up. The lovely lady was printing out our information and taking us to our room as soon as we got there. Not missing a beat. The room was made up as if they were expecting us and clean as a whistle. Lovely towels and a big comfy bed. We slept well, had a lovely dinner and morning breakfast. Would recommend to anyone.
Cosy, friendly atmosphere. No nonsense food, well cooked and presented with very generous portions. An excellent lunch all round, thank you.
Absolutely fantastic food, really delicious. Great staff nothing is too much trouble and always well looked after. Ok the pricey side but it’s worth it for the quality of food.
