My partner and I decided to have a date night on Saturday and chose to try the new Frank and Janie's in Ruston. We enjoy a good seafood buffet and the price was very reasonable. I didn't like it at all. There was a dead fly in my tomato and cucumber salad, which completely ruined my appetite. I should have taken a picture of it, but I couldn't bring myself to do so. The place seemed very unsanitary to me. Additionally, the glass I was served my tea in had dried food stuck to it. I cannot recommend this place or give it a good rating. If I were with the health department, I would definitely be concerned.
The whole fish was blanching the frog legs was blanching the cooked garnels was over boiled and spicy the cinnamon roll would not be homemade would not recommend this place
This restaurant is awful. We arrived a few minutes before 8 and they were out of croutons, bacon bits, and salad dressing for salads. They didn't have frog legs or boiled shrimp, gumbo, jambalaya, or Étouffée. We had to ask for more fish filets to be put out. They were out of peach cobbler and the ice cream machine was broken. This is definitely the worst place ever.
I'm really happy for Sam to start his parents business again. Food was awesome.
To salty, ice had no taste. otherwise eat okay, but not exceptional. to eat styrofoam plates with plastic utensils, does not add to a positive culinary experience. actually, I would rate 2.5 stars.
