What Caro G doesn't like about Taqueria Lo Diferente:
I used to go here a lot but stop going after the prices for the food went up. The food portions are so small that they are no worth the price. The tortas used to be so big at $8 and now they look like a cheeseburger that costs $9 plus tax. Food became small and expensive. I go to other places like the plazita where you can get a really big torta for 8 or tacos for ever where the torta might not be very big but it's full of meat and avocado and everything. I am very disappointed. I know prices went up but I don't see other places selling half the food for more then the original price.
I was driving from Los Angeles and decided to stop in this little town for some good food and to rest for bit before heading on the road again. I was not disappointed at all. My expectation for Mexican is pretty high since I live in LA. Everything was delicious and super fresh. We got birria tacos, carne asada tacos, shrimp fajita and champurado. Super happy with the customer service and quality of the food. If you're ever on the road and want some home made Mexican, this is it. Wish I took pics but I was starving and lived in the moment with the food.
The tacos al pastor smell like wet dog and taste like the meat went bad and still sold it. Tried it once gave them the benefit of the doubt and went again and it was the same thing. That was nasty. Thats all imma say
