Johanna and Randy are the best. The food is amazing. They both visit every table and ask how the food is and how you're doing. Amazing atmosphere. Great food. The staff are always patient with my kids which is a PLUS. Plenty of seating. It's so clean inside. No bad smell. Bathrooms are clean. Absolutely amazing prime rib on Saturday night for the special. I was headed to DM from rathbun and found this place Wow, I just wanted a burger, but the menu sounded so good, I had a double order of prime rib with mashed potatoes, they were smokey and delicious, the prime rib was perfectly medium rare and a great cut too. I will definitely make this the dinner stop for the family, they had a bar but but it was a nice family restaurant atmosphere. Kid-friendliness: More like a family restaurant with a bar than a bar. Heard about Prairie Street Pub's Brunch in small town USA, Russell, Iowa, It proved to be tasteful dining. There were six in our party, and two of the couples were returning. Now we know why! The Prime rib Hoagie had been highly recommended. To our disappointment, they had run out. But there were plenty of tempting dishes on the menu. Today, we all choose sandwiches. From the Carolina Pulled Pork, BBQ Chicken Hoagie, French Dip, and the Southwest Nachos. Amazing food! The Pub was clean and enough seating for a good crowd. NOW, we know why the Prairie Street Pub is popular among foodies.
