What Philip N doesn't like about The Old Bakehouse Tearoom:
Just popped in for a quick mid-morning coffee and hot chocolate but it took three attempts to get an acceptable flat white coffee for my wife. My hot chocolate was fine but the coffee was disappointingly weak. The third coffee was good (3 shots) so maybe stronger coffee bean are the answer View all feedback.

What a hidden gem! with a distance the best afternoon tea we ever had! (and we had a few) the attention to detail and passion that lesley and her family put in real shows. not only did we get tasty fingersandwichse and freshly made scones, but beautiful miniture cakes and an Eton fair to die. if that was not enough, we were treated with homemade coleslaw, cramp, gurken wobbles pickle and a mini-puwn cocktail and Greek salate. can not recommend this place enough! great food, great service, great place. we will be back soon! thank you again.
My own and my two friends visited here yesterday for a pre-gournament consumption and we were very impressed, the place was well presented and very clean/inviting. we had the 'hohen tee, the sandwiches/scones/kitchen were fresh and made to order. the lady who served us called lesley, she was very kind. best to book a table if they want to stay for a chat than about 130 pm it was busy and as there was a small place that seats were taken quickly (no complaining though would recommend 100%, this to everyone. They have a lot number on the menu, even if they send a cuppa: will be revisiting!
My man I enjoyed today. it didn't disappoint! it was delicious! and an excellent value for money. the personal is friendly, the environment is cordially welcoming. we will definitely be back. the perfect way to enjoy our wedding anniversary again today, many thanks to ladies xx (ps the piece of cake that we have taken to home for our little young, is the best cake of all time! by the way lol xx)
The best egg mayonnaise sandwiches, best cheese scones with cream cheese onion chutney I have ever had. Then to top it off raspberry cheesecake, fabulous service thank you ladies x x
