I am rating this as a CAFE NOT as a Restaurant since calling it a Restaurant is simply delusions of grandeur! Waiting to be seated and full table service is new since I last went here and it is an improvement not to queue up at the counter to order. I had Ham, Egg Chips which was really good, the ham was particularly excellent Price was OK at £9.99. Vanilla Milk shake was very disappointing and way over priced at £4.... View all feedback.

Hadn't been able to visit this for a little while and now changed to table service. Was seated in a fairly good space. Ordered and coffee and extras brought out no cutlery brought for cakes. You have to go up to the counter to place your order from a small selection of dishes. The lunch options are uncomplicated, healthy, and just the right portion size. Your meal arrives promptly and steaming hot. However, the conservatory section can get quite loud, making it difficult to have a peaceful conversation. The restaurant is accessible for those with disabilities, as the garden center it's located in offers wheelchairs for use.

Good value for money, lovely treat to eat out. Plants we all bought were so colourful and very healthy
Today my daughter and I had lunch at Bourne Valley Restaurant, we both ordered panini’s. I ordered with caramelised onion, mushroom and cheddar, these were the words on the menu. When our lunch arrived it was clear that the cheese was not cheddar and the caramelised onions were actually lashings of cold onion relish. When I asked the server if it was cheddar in the panini I was told no it was vegan and not cheddar at all. It was inedible so I asked for it to be removed from the bill which the server agreed, at this stage there was no apology. When I have them gone to pay the bill, no apology was made but a young member of staff repeatedly told me it clearly says VE on the menu which I am supposed to know means vegan, despite the word ‘cheddar’ which is isn’t vegan. This young lady was determined to have the last word and make out I was in the wrong and even as we were leaving she was still calling out sarcastic remarks. I will never eat here again. Rude staff (in the restaurant) and inedible of food.
I had afternoon tea at this restaurant with my mom as a Mother's Day gift. It would be helpful if the booking form had a section for dietary requests, as we don't like cucumber. However, the staff were very accommodating once we mentioned it, and they were able to substitute the cucumber sandwiches with cheese and tomato. We were seated quickly and our drink orders were taken promptly. The food was delicious, especially the orange and brown battenburg cake. It was a lovely experience and we didn't feel rushed at all. I would definitely come back again.
