El Toto's - Running Springs

The best place to get Mexican food! The customer service is top notch! I've only ordered for take out and have had no issues!

I visited El Toto's on a Friday afternoon. Although the parking lot was busy, only about three tables were occupied inside. I had placed an order over the phone for the fajitas plate with double rice. Upon arrival, I asked if my order was correct, only to be told that they had prepared the regular fajitas plate instead (1/2 rice 1/2 beans). They took the fajitas out of the stylophone container and put them back on the grill; not sure what happened to the rice and beans. After waiting, they replated it, and I was on my way. Unfortunately, when I got home, I found that they gave me double beans instead of double rice. I decided to just accept the mistake. As for the fajitas themselves, they were bland, and the meat had no sear at all. I didn't even try the beans since I didn't want them in the first place. I also ordered a side of fries, which were overcooked. The only highlight was the asada taco I ordered--it was decent, the best thing of the bunch. Overall, I was disappointed that my order was incorrect not once but twice, and two out of the three items I received were subpar.

A nice and relaxed outdoor seating available. The food was surprisingly delicious and generous. We' will be coming by again!

Tamales are fresh made and well steamed! Nice and moist, not dry and the red sauce is flavorful! I will get that again!

4 of us. Fries for the little one, cheese sauce for the older one, wife has a chicken salad, and I had the Toto's Burrito. $40, not bad. The restaurant was clean, the service was ok, and the food was great
