I have been coming to this restaurant since I was a baby with my family, it has always been absolutely amazing and is a real treat to go to. I’m almost 18 and I still pop in and am greeted with warm and welcoming arms like going to see old friends. It is always a magical experience.I also highly recommend the deep fried ice-cream. I always get it for my birthday.Yoki is such a warm spirited and happy lady that has wa... View all feedback.

it wasn't a few years ago. Eating was always fantastic. This time nothing is out of the box. I think the thing that upset me most was someone who called the kitchen for the old guy great customer service. not View all feedback.
Change of management, change of service and food quality. Just had the second bad experience within 3 weeks. We were the only two in the restaurant when the young lass took our order without taking notes. My correct meal came to the table, my partner's meal was delivered when I was halfway through mine and it was not what was ordered. By the time the meal was replaced I had finished mine. The previous visit was a similar experience and to their credit they gave an apology and a 10% discount without any prompting when it came time to pay. We have dined dine at many places, sadly this one may be taken off the list. For your patrons safety, please change your floor cleaning method in the dining area, the complete floor seemed like it was mopped with greasy dish washing water.
Food average chicken satay meat over cooked, sweet sour prawns oodles of sauce with little onion, capsicum and pineapple; sizzling lamb mediocre. One star for food and one star for wine. Also not advised of a 1.6% service charge atrocious!
My husband and I booked a table, (originally for 5 but then for 6, at the last minute) here to celebrate my 74th birthday.Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff! The last minute change to a larger table top to allow for effective social distancing was the first indication that we were in for a very positive experience of our first visit to Yoki Thai.Located in Oxley Plaza in Runaway Bay, Gold Coast, the owners express their claim to their Thai heritage with a beautifully laid out display of a Buddhist shrine and artifacts in the foyer. The take away/reception counter is offset alongside the shrine and the dining area is spacious, simply laid out and tastefully coloured with soft sage green and cream walls, flooring and the complementary bakery. We chose to share mixed entrees, Salt and Pepper Calimari, Lamb Massaman and Seafood Penang Curries and a Sesame and Garlic Chicken Stir Fry teamed with plentiful Steamed Rice. The food portions were generous, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Teamed with the selections of the BYO wines we brought with us and which, fortuitously, complemented the food, it was a beautiful meal! We'll certainly be returning to dine here again.
