However, our serv... read more The NCAA Men's Basketball tournament was in full swing, and it felt like every bar was buzzing with energy. There were good crowds everywhere. However, our server seemed a bit worn out from the earlier rush from Villanova fans and wasn't as informative or attentive as we had hoped. Despite that, our experience was still decent, and we’re looking forward to going back.

You can really taste the smoky flavor, and I appreciated that the sauce was served on the side. The burger was decent, but it didn’t have any special sauce. For a BBQ place, I think they need to come up with a signature burger sauce to elevate the dish.

The Tin Can Nachos are more than enough for four people to share, but since there were just two of us, we opted for a half order. The mac and cheese was rich and deliciously cheesy! Now, moving on to the entrees… they were OUTSTANDING! We ordered the pastrami sandwich and the tuna poke bowl. While they may seem like simple dishes, what they did with them truly impressed us! The flavors were exquisite. The pastrami sandwich is a monthly special, available only on the first weekend of each month. The pastrami had a wonderful smoky flavor and was served in thick slices. The tuna poke bowl was fantastic too, with slightly seared tuna and fresh, crisp vegetables that really brought everything together! The drinks were also great! And the southern apple cobbler was just… perfect! Thank you, Surf BBQ!!

Initially, I was a bit concerned because it was a rainy day and the parking wasn't ideal. When we arrived as a group of five, they seated us in a corner and squeezed in an extra chair. However, everything after that was fantastic. My father and I had the pulled pork, which could have used a bit more BBQ sauce, but the wings were crispy and cooked perfectly. My mother ordered tacos, my girlfriend had the Alabama chicken sandwich, and my sister enjoyed the Oaxaca Chicken bowl. The chips and salsa were delicious as well. Our waiter was a young guy and the service was satisfactory. Overall, I would rate it 5 out of 5.

I can't wait to come back next weekend!
