I was afraid first because it was a rainy day and the parking situation was not the best. And when we came as a party of 5, they hurried us in a corner and added a chair. But then nothing but positive traces for this place. My father and I had the pulled pig (may have used more BBQ sauce) and the wings were crispy and well made. My mother had tacos, gf had the alabama chicken sandwich, and sister had the Oaxaca Chicken bowl. The chips with the salsa were delicious. The waiter was younger and the service was good. 5/5.

You can really taste the smoky flavor, and I appreciated that the sauce was served on the side. The burger was decent, but it didn’t have any special sauce. For a BBQ place, I think they need to come up with a signature burger sauce to elevate the dish.

The Tin Can Nachos are more than enough for four people to share, but since there were just two of us, we opted for a half order. The mac and cheese was rich and deliciously cheesy! Now, moving on to the entrees… they were OUTSTANDING! We ordered the pastrami sandwich and the tuna poke bowl. While they may seem like simple dishes, what they did with them truly impressed us! The flavors were exquisite. The pastrami sandwich is a monthly special, available only on the first weekend of each month. The pastrami had a wonderful smoky flavor and was served in thick slices. The tuna poke bowl was fantastic too, with slightly seared tuna and fresh, crisp vegetables that really brought everything together! The drinks were also great! And the southern apple cobbler was just… perfect! Thank you, Surf BBQ!!
