We ate here every evening (except on Tuesday when it is closed, except for breakfast to hotel guests) on a half board basis with Thomson. The breakfast was a buffet of cereals, bread, fruit, yogurt, cake, salad and various hot offerings. The evening meal consisted of a soup, buffet salad, main and dessert. The food was well presented and always hot. The service is excellent and the food was delicious (only main I did... View all feedback.
What NieuwZeeuw doesn't like about Gillitzer's Lounge Garden:
We visited mid March 2016 late in the ski season just before the Easter holidays based on a TA search for likely places to eat in Ruhpolding. The interior and atmosphere is very nice and relaxing. We came early in the evening and for a while were the only guests. Service was friendly and efficient and unobtrusive We had the 3 course fixed menu starter salads (ok) and bread (great with a butter/berry mix amazing) main... View all feedback.
We had duck, and rumpsteak, excelent food and very good service. The location is very clean ond in orderen. No high music etc. Good for couple.
We have eaten here three times during our stay and have found the food to be exceptional. Great service and presentation. You can eat inside or in the quaint garden area looking over the mountains.
Excellent ambiance, service impeckable, food top quality highly recommended. Been back again same excellent service, even though it was only for afternoon tea. Would recommend anybody coming to Rohpolding to at least visit once.
Perfect surroundings in a open garden. The most polite and service minded waiters. Very delicius and well prepaired food, all homemade. Pricelevel very good compared to the high quality.
We heartily recommend you don 't go here if you want to be treated with hospitality. Or like you 're a sane person. Upon our arrival, it appeared that our online reservation had not come through, despite the confirmation we received on their website. Sure, things happen. But when we said we had a reservation, we received a blunt and impolite reply that we must be wrong, because our name was not in the system. It took us some effort to get a free table, where another waiter asked for our names and also replied that we did not have a reservation and treated us like idiots. We got up and left, and they did not care or try to work things out, but just said okay, sure . Are people welcome at this restaurant? I think not. Why do they work in hospitality, if they don 't know what hospitality means? If they should read this review, the correct way to handle this occassion is: I 'm sorry, we don 't seem to have received your reservation, but we have this or that table available if that is okay with you? It 's very simple!
