What Cool18 doesn't like about The Queen's Head:
Worst Indian meal. Chilli paneer was very sweet. Palak paneer felt like the paneer from chilli paneer has been washed added on. Tadka daal was too watery. The worst naan eaten too date, it was so thick, didn’t feel fresh and felt like a shop bought naan. Service was ok. Starters came out too fast so makes you wonder if food is already pre made heated up. Wouldn’t go back. Not for the Indian palate. View all feedback.

While we were a week away from home, we sung at the queen’s head what we know well, and it has recently changed the hands. we had three meals there during the week and there was a good choice to choose from each time. the manager rana was at the door to welcome us every time and he was very attentive during our visit. it was all a very good value for money with the choice of « retired meals » if necessary. we recommend it very much.
Three of us went to lunch, not to realize that the pub had changed the hands. we were hit at the door of rana, which made sure that we were sitting in our area of choice and that we received a good service. the facility is now restaurant with table service for eating and drinking and the staff are friendly and efficient. the new owners have so far retained the old menu and continue to offer good quality fresh food. good experience all around and look forward to our next visit.
The pub was recently taken over and we really like the changes they have made so far! we thought to be a family dinner trying out the new menu items. Once we came in, we were met with a warm welcome, and that continued during the meal. the food was excellent, surprised us how beautiful it was and it cost us just £50 for 4 people!
We all enjoyed the food and it was a relatively quiet night when we visited. It did feel that the service organisation would struggle on a busy night as it all just felt a little chaotic. Anyhow we enjoyed a good meal with reasonable service. Do not sit anywhere near the door on a cold night as you get a blast every time it is opened.
