Phoned to book five days in advance and the landlady couldn't have been more friendly, courteous and helpful. We needed a late-ish booking, but that was no trouble for the landlady who went out of her way to help. Will update this review after we...have visited, but I wanted in the meantime to say that my experience of this lovely landlady are nothing like the previous review. View all feedback.

Absolutely lovely place. We came here for an evening meal from the canal (the hill up to the pub is a little steep, at least it's downhill on the way back!! and it did not disappoint at all. We were recommended this place by three people when asking where to eat and we can see why. Absolutely perfect service, the manager was the sweetest lady I've met in a long old time. The food was **** brilliant! It was our last night on our rental boat, and this was the perfect way to end our holiday. Many, many thanks!! Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
