We held a suprise 70th birthday meal today at the club. Gail, Sophie and the team were friendly and helpful from start to finish. The room was spotlessly clean and well layed out. We opted for the hot buffet catering option; the food was amazing. I would highly recommend the venue and their catering. Thank you to the whole team for your efforts today and for making our day memorable View all feedback.
What Travelmonkeys09 doesn't like about The Ansty:
Stopped off at the Ansty while doing a boat trip, the locals looked miserable that we had arrived the smell of dog in the place wasn’t a nice welcome, The place looked run down like it’s waiting to close down or something. The price was the only decent thing, No food on offer dispute it advertising food quite disappointed really, The Greyhound a little further up the canal is a much better stop off location, Will not... My family visited The Ansty Club for Sunday lunch on October 25, 2020, following a friend's recommendation. We were very impressed by the quality of the Sunday lunch. The meat was tender, the gravy was flavorful, and there were a variety of fresh vegetables included in the meal. In addition to the roast potatoes and mashed potatoes, there were six other vegetables to choose from. The homemade crumble and apple pie were especially delicious, with my husband even going as far as to say that the crumble was almost as good as mine.
The service was excellent and the lunch of roast beef, 5 different vegetables, and roast/mash potatoes was outstanding. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
This restaurant is a charming spot with stunning grounds and a beautiful main building. The garden is delightful and ideal for enjoying drinks and dinner. The afternoon tea was exceptional, featuring a variety of vegetarian sandwiches, perfect scones, and a generous selection of cakes. The English Breakfast tea was piping hot and delicious. The dinner was also very good, with a small but well-prepared menu and perfectly sized portions. The service was excellent, with Chris standing out for being particularly friendly and helpful. I had the best night's sleep thanks to the firm and supportive mattress. I highly recommend this place.
Stopped in the village while on a narrowboat break, there wasn’t much choice which turned out to be a good thing as I don’t think anywhere would have been better. Such a lovely bar with nice locals and the food was amazing! Definitely worth a stop!
The Ansty is an absolute hidden gem. The food is top notch and wouldn’t be out of place in the finest of eateries anywhere in the UK. Very reasonably priced at £13.99 for 3 courses and Highly recommended for either a Sunday lunch with the family or for a large group of friends.
