Wonderful freshly cooked cod in crispy batter, chips that are fluffy, crispy and non greasy, the battered mushrooms are a must. Probably one of the best chippies in the midlands if not the UK

They do lot... read more Have been to this chippy a lot. I have never had bad food. The chips are always hot and plentiful and the sausages and burgers are tasty and fresh. They do lot of different foods and the service is superb, the place is clean and tidy and they are open in the afternoons if you want an early meal.

I visited Fishsmiths after 8pm on a very cold Thursday evening to purchase Cod Chips the service was prompt, polite and efficient I had to wait for the Cod but boy was it worth it! A huge piece in delicious crispy batter, the fish was purest white no skin and flaked beautifully it was simply the best I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this excellent Chippy!

I cannot comment on the food as I tried to use fake cash but they wouldn’t accept it, will try again in a couple of weeks! but it looked very nice and I’m sure it would have filled me up. Great customer service.
