Seilbahn Cafe - Rüdesheim am Rhein

We stopped in because the place posted an interesting menu. We read it in German and understood what was offered. When I asked the server about milk or cream in some of the dishes she just brought me a menu card printed in English, and said all the dishes were served with sauces already prepared. We left hungry.

Truly awful. I was not allowed to order a meal without a drink although our group had already ordered several meals and drinks. The owner was so rude we went somewhere else.

Stopped here for an evening meal because it looked popular. Service was good but food was average and not cheap but absolutely nothing wrong with it. Just nothing special.

This place is ****-sorry for the language! As I entered just before 2 people before me... I witnessed the host/waiter who turned to be also the boss sadly) asking the people if they wanted a table and he happily showed them to their place, saying:’ I will come by to see your vaccination pass’ As he walked towards me, I kindly asked for a table for 1 and without saying hello, he looked at me and rudely with an angry unfriendly tone said: ‘ where is you vaccination proof’... I answered: ‘ I certainly have it but why are you speaking to me this way, , why don’t you be a little friendly, show me to my table just like you did with these 2 before me and I’ll be happy to pull it out and show it to you... he was increasing uncomfortable, angry and realized I wasn’t German language) then told me to get out and find another place... I answered:’ why? I have the pass.. he insisted that I get out and made sure to tell me that he is the Boss since I asked for the manager!!! I felt torn between leaving as I personally don’t want to give my money to a **** and unscrupulous human being and standing my ground and fighting this man’s discriminating and biased human sadly) but again, I thought to myself, it’s best to leave and my money is better spent elsewhere. However, I am not only hurt by his shockingly disrespectful actions but also but the inaction of people watching the scene. It makes me wonder in what world are we turning into! Sad day for humanity

We stopped there just to have a drink, everything was good utill my mom came later and the 'older' waiter said no, not possible! Then he saw we were playing a card game and he went crazy, he said not allowed, this is a restaurant , we were shocked as it did not look like a classy restaurant , even the map was not restaurant worthy and only 3 tabels were taken.We just payed and left immediatly as this was a shocking experience we had never seen before. We don't understand this cause we are a group of 6 and wanted to stay here to spend the evening. There are far more beautiful places to drink and enjoy your time then here. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!
