Visit arranged by hotel which didn’t cater on a Saturday, we (7 British tourists) enjoyed a meal of Alsace proportions which was washed down by excellent wines. However, above and beyond happened at the end. The manageress, Stephanie, tried to arrange a taxi for us...and when LeMans failed to deliver, she arranged for help from her staff. What Jane Yong doesn't like about Les Relais d'Alsace Taverne Karlsbrau:
We're put in a very tight corner of the restaurant to start with, then we asked to move to a table with more room (seeing not many people in there) the starter came before a drink, 3 of us had mussels and they were over cooked. We all had steak, which advertised with French fries and came with boiled potatoes, then a few minutes later 4 pots of French fries turned up. The steaks were cooked as requested but very fatt... Tested the relais d asace in chasseneuil du poitou last week and we found out that there is a relais in ruaudin, which next to le mans, where we are sitting for the weekend square is big, square outside. the waiters were nice. the ordered oysters. but they were not so good. but for the rest it was okay. I have a fish with risotto, a grilled bark as a cooking suggestion and they have a children's menu. Other positive point: they have a wrap table in the room of the dame, so appreciated when they go out with a baby

Very expensive for quality served. we had a Caesar salad (not completely cooked chicken) and some burgers. service could smile with a little more.
I have eaten here many times. They have some specialities from the Alsace region of France. The food is okay, good portions and hot. Sometimes if it's busy service is a bit slow. Got a good desert menu. Easy and adequate parking. They don't take...AMEX.
Je vais régulièrement manger ici après un match de basket ou avant de prendre l'autoroute (grand parking). Jamais déçu, les plats sont bons, il y a du choix, il y a ce qu'il faut dans l'assiette, le service est sympa.
