What John W doesn't like about Kalamata Greek Grill:
I went in on a Sunday for a quick salad. I was disappointed to see the iceberg lettuce in a bin with brown spots at the prep station. The lettuce reminded me of a salad bar in the 70s. I got my tray and went to sit down. Every table surface had either little crumbs on it or an oily smear. Not one table had been wiped down. I removed the brown salad leaves to one side and ate what I could. The dirty table thing is an... View all feedback.
This place has been our favorite for years. The soups are amazing— both are. Whenever my brother is in town, he goes through quarts of the chicken lemon rice. The pita is grilled there and delicious. My favorite is the tomato lentil (vegan too). Highly recommend!
If I could give 0 stars I would. Food looks like leftovers see pics, small portions, place is dirty and rude employees. I asked the cashier if the chicken was seasoned with paprika (due to allergies) her answered I don’t know I am not in the kitchen. Very disappointing.
This place used to be so good. We moved and haven't been back in several years, but tried it out after a trip to the zoo and it was so disappointing. The chicken was super dry and diced instead of sliced like it used to be which made it harder to eat because everything was falling out. The pita chips must have been in a warming drawer or under the lamp for a while, and we definitely got fries that had been through the frier at least twice already. The prices used to be high but the quality was good. Now it's totally unbalanced and not in a good way. My husband's lamb/beef was alright. The creamy greek dressing had been sitting out for a while and was broken. Old, oily pita bread that was starting to dry out on the edges instead of the good fluffy ones. The rice looked pretty crusty too so we skipped it. Zesty feta was the only thing that didn't let me down.In the stores defense, we were there at a slower time but still. Oh god and THE WAY YOU ORDER IS HORRIBLE. It was not set up for this. I could barely hear the poor girl behind the counter and likewise. Anxiety inducing and I'm not going back.
The dirtiest restaurant I've never seen in Michigan, from the entry doors windows you will throw up, then you walk in side where the food at, again super dirty, don't even thing to sit down, chairs tables are uncleanable, so sticky and dirty, the food ain't that good at all, health department must go there asap.
Horrible horrible! I don’t even know where to start with this. Went in craving a gyro and walked out with pita with A LOT OF ONIONS AMD TOMATOES WITH some chicken. And to top it off, I asked for extra tzatziki and it was literally just plain yogurt. Don’t even think it was Greek yogurt. Picture below. Just stay away, and go to a coney instead. Hahaha. Save your time and money and appetite.NEVER AGAIN AM I GOING HERE EVER AGAIN.
