Gard Vintners offers scratch-made specialties paired with their estate wines and regional craft beers in a unique dining experience nestled in the heart of Washington's Royal Slope AVA. Dine on the patio for a casual lunch or dinner, or savor a tasting flight and charcuterie board. Guest suites are available for those looking to dine and stay. What Susan Kirkendall doesn't like about Gard Public House:
While the sandwich and fries were good....it took a terribly long time for meal to be served. The meatlovers pizza was on special. Ordered it to go. Ends were burned....black. once you got beyond that it was flavorful.....don't live near there... unlikely I will go back. Wow! Wow! WOW! 1. The spicy chicken sandwich was amazing! Packed with flavors. I noticed in the pictures the pickles looked homemade and they are. I was brave and asked to try. They were not the typical bread and butter. So I slapped them on the sandwich and I'm so glad I did. 2. Ruben Sandwich the kraut was delicious and the corned beef melted in the mouth. The place has character. The staff is friendly. One complaint, the bathroom. While it was clean, there was an overwhelming smell of urine. I feel horrible about this kind of honesty. Gard Public House is by far the best public house I've ever been to. The interior is smart and simple. The host and servers are very accommodating. They were not crazy busy when we went in, asked if we had reservations, and we didn 't. They said go ahead and take this table, we have a about 45 minutes for you We ordered immediately, and it took 45 minutes to get our meal! We were starving. Would have gone somewhere else if we thought it would take so long At 25 minutes our waitress came and told us it was ready in a few minutes.. well..as you see it was a while longer. The food was delicious, but the long wait was kind of nuts for the little amount of people in there. Hoping this isn 't common. Next time we will make reservations and see.
