B... read more I have had the pleasure of dining at the Roxby Downs Tavern on a number of occasions and have always found the food and service to be of a very high standard. But I feel I need to single out the Natural Oysters in particular. Roxby Downs is a long way from the sea and even further from any oyster farms of note. And yet, I am impressed once again at the freshness of the oysters served on the last two occasions I dined there. And quite frankly I've had less fresh oysters from restaurants around Darling Harbour where sea food tends to be a feature with a far more expensive price tag.

The food is delicious and nicely presented, but having only a salad or pizza as the vegetarian options is limiting. It would be great to see a vegetarian burger or risotto on the menu or as a special. I do love that they serve Brookvale Union ginger beer.

The meals were delicious and served in generous portions. The bar was spacious and had a large TV screen. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I had a great time during my short stay in Roxby Downs and would love to visit again in the future.
