It was mother day, so time to pig out.... The usual Chinese seafood dinner and all the usual suspects.... A dinner likes this is relatively expensive . We had two tables with the same dishes. The bill total for the foods was about $950. With tips it was about $1,150. However, you get what you pay for. The piglet is kind of a rip off. The wholesale cost of the piglet is about $100. The restaurant charged us about $350... View all feedback.
What Jacob Ellis doesn't like about New Capital Seafood:
Attended a wedding that had a banquet here for the reception. The staff was great (efficient, quick, clean), the food was good. However: The menu for the evening clearly states that no foods contain nuts (the bride has a nut allergy) and that the oil used was not peanut oil. When the fried rice comes out at the end, it's topped with peanuts! Really makes you question their allergen safety if they can make that obviou... View all feedback.
Delicious food and affordable price. Special price for lobster $6/lb.
Quality was acceptable with relatively low price. Service and ambient was cosy. Very long waiting time for weekends. Need to have patience
It’s no wonder this place is always packed. It has freshest seafood and great service. We had a banquet last night and it didn’t disappoint. The huge lobster was fresh and it was made into a salad with fresh fruits. It was fresh and tasty. The duck was prepared with a fried bun and a slice of apple, again very tasty. It was a very creative way of serving Peking duck. Then there was the king crab that we had the kegs steamed and the rest was cooked with egg, which was my favorite. The service was so attentive that my wine glass and tea cup was never empty. It was one of the best seafood feast I had in recent years
The restaurant is quite spacious and can accommodate large groups. The food is delicious, and the service is efficient. I highly recommend the Kung Pao Chicken; it’s excellent!
I've been visiting Life Plaza sporadically for over 20 years, and while I've seen their sign, I had never actually dined at this restaurant until about a month ago when I went with a friend who speaks Chinese. I almost decided against it before we were seated because the place appeared run-down and somewhat messy. Once we sat down, I noticed several holes in the carpet and food crumbs scattered across the floor. It was around 6 PM on a weeknight, and the restaurant was only about a third full, so there was no excuse for the untidiness. It seemed like it had been a few days, possibly even a week, since anyone had vacuumed. The condition of the front of the house made me anxious about the kitchen, which was out of sight. As for the food, it was okay but nothing remarkable, and it wasn't inexpensive. On the plus side, the service was good, and the waiter was friendly.
