Even Life - Rowland Heights

I enjoyed a hotpot dinner tonight during this “fall weather” in Southern California. I arrived just an hour before closing at 11 PM, and although there were only two staff members working, they were busy yet very attentive to all the customers. I ordered the #2 with beef and their signature house milk tea. Overall, it’s a great place to dine in with quick service—a hidden gem! Even though the sign outside still says Rockstar Noodle Bar, the restaurant's actual name is Even Life.

This restaurant was a delightful surprise. I ordered the signature beef noodle soup with a mild level of spiciness, though you can choose to keep it at the regular spice level if you prefer. I opted for the egg noodles, and I also got the beef wrapped enoki mushrooms as an appetizer. Both dishes were full of flavor and exceeded my expectations. The noodles were perfectly thin and chewy, with a generous portion in one bowl. The broth was delicious, seasoned just right, and the beef was tender. The beef enoki had a unique sauce that made it stand out from the usual preparations. Overall, I would definitely return to this place. It's quite small, so be prepared for a wait for both a seat and your food when it's busy.

The servers always serve the customer great, every time I come in I always check in here because they offer a free green or black tea. Their yogurt drinks are great as well. Definitely recommended if you wanted a chill environment and nice drinks.

I'm not quite sure how to rate this place—it's definitely a love-hate relationship for me. It's one of my top three spots for beef noodle soup, but the owner seems to have dropped the ball. Make sure to check for updated business hours, as that information can change frequently. I recommend calling ahead for guidance from the staff!

No napkins and chopsticks for to go? Most is cabbage and three slices of lamb? Seriously? Better have a pho , drink too sweet
