Have been to the Fiddler many times. It has a great atmosphere for groups, couples and families. Love all the different areas to sit down. Friday and Saturday nights (and Sundays) can get really busy so better to book a table. Such a busy place. The menu is not huge but there is plenty of choice and the pub food always arrives quick and is tasty. Lots of parking onsite. Love the place. View all feedback.
What Mariapia Gentile doesn't like about The Fiddler:
Came in for dinner on Sunday we both ordered a soup from the starter menu and a main they all came out at the same time we said we no longer want the soup because that was our starter then to be told that they won't take them back because it wasn't specified that we wanted them to come out first .. even tho it was ordered from there "starter" menu not the main menu anyway all four dishes were very bland Apart from th... Popped in today. Very busy and alot of tables booked. So it's hard to get a decent seat. My wife and I shared a supreme pizza which neither of us could fault. I agree with some of the other reviewers in that the bar staff are hit and miss. They don't seem to look around and understand where it's busy and not so. Every time I've been exactly the same issue. There was a female manager walking around telling them but she was trying to look after the food service as well. That said will go bac k, but if they tweaked it a bit would be alot better.
Booked a table for 4 adults for Sunday lunch and requested in the special request box a table that had a little extra room for my husband who had recent knee surgery so that he could stretch out his leg, we arrived and found our table it was a small low slung round coffee table with 4 small metal stools, absolutely useless and disgraceful, 3 kids couldn't have sat at this table let alone 4 adults with plates and drinks, found a senior staff member who when we explained the problem couldn't have give a flying fig, she walked off, nearby was another table which had just become vacant and we took this table, we went to order our meals at the servery and after paying for the food nearly $150.00 was told that it would be at least 60-90 minutes (they should have told us this before ordering) after waiting nearly an hour the 1 entree ordered come out (the calamari was ordinary at best) and they told us that the rest of the food would be about another 30 minutes when it finally arrived, the pork knuckle, pork belly and fish and chips were ok my mushroom veggie burger was disgusting it tasted awful and cold the cheese had not even melted i asked whether they could heat it up but it would take at least 30 minutes i ate the chips which were nice and crispy and they were warm left the rest on the side, the 2 deserts (Tiramisu cheesecake) ordered took another 30 mins to arrive, they were also quite small not worth the wait or the taste, getting drinks was just as bad, lots of customers very few bar staff. I feel that the food was overpriced for what we ordered, staff slow and couldn't give a hoot about any form of service the place felt like disorganized chaos we never ever be back and we will tell everyone not to go there as you will be extremely disappointed and annoyed at how much money you spent for very basic food.

Would not recommend and will be pulling them off of the staff party venue list.

Each time we attend The Fiddler the staff behind the bar are rude and the wait for a drink is far too long to wait. The managers and staff do not have any time for the customers which is a real shame as this is a great pub to have a drink. So if you can take in the pub itself with no service it is a great place.
