Was Peyton Keeling at The Fiddler a mag?
Have been to the Fiddler many times. It has a great atmosphere for groups, couples and families. Love all the different areas to sit down. Friday and Saturday nights (and Sundays) can get really busy so better to book a table. Such a busy place. The menu is not huge but there is plenty of choice and the pub food always arrives quick and is tasty. Lots of parking onsite. Love the place. View all feedback.
What Mariapia Gentile dislikes about The Fiddler:
Came in for dinner on Sunday we both ordered a soup from the starter menu and a main they all came out at the same time we said we no longer want the soup because that was our starter then to be told that they won't take them back because it wasn't specified that we wanted them to come out first .. even tho it was ordered from there "starter" menu not the main menu anyway all four dishes were very bland Apart from th... We have been dined as three pairs that put our orders as a group. we arrived at 18 o'clock ordering our meals at 18.20 o'clock at 19 o'clock 4 of our meals at 7.30 not from the other two meals of one of the 2 pairs not yet...ingested, on which way into the kitchen said they must have been delivered to another table, promising to come on, good 30 minutes later they would have thought that they would not make the two meals a priority) the meal 1) squacy bone, crunchy well cooked sitting on a bed smooth maic with a ring of gravitation around the maic a table soon sitting in the gravy with apfelcomatett also sitting in the gravitation, much more thought went into this plate, the pork was a little hard. 2) augenfilet chips bohnen mais, an appealing medium it was something over boiled, the steak was lukewarm dry. chips only warm could not eat the mais as it was dusted either with chili powder or Cayene pepper. sauce was also only warm. 3) the salmon sauce nice, salmon was a little overboiled. 4) the pasta was beautiful. the last 2 late dishes 5) barramundi very nice 6) huh carving large portion, but needed a beer to wash the dry huh. fortunately we get seniors two meal times at the price of one.
Great service and food! My daughter and I dined here due to proximity of the Mercure Hotel next door where we were staying. Wow, what a beautiful venue, full of friendly staff, at table ordering (that works), reasonable prices, yummy food and service with a...smile! The venue itself is filled with old world charm with a variety of places to enjoy your food be it indoors or outdoors We enjoyed dinner (burger and mocktails), dessert (Nutella Pizza) and breakfast (the works and pancakes). All of the food was cooked and presented to perfection. What impressed me most was the amount of friendly staff, who appeared genuinely interested that everything was to your satisfaction. Highly recommended!!
This place improves, the menu is not big and cheap, but the portion sizes are enormous and eating is good. it was for a weekday lunch and the atmosphere was pleasant, could be different to other times, but was happy with our visit
A school meeting on the greenway went out without a clinke. comfortable accommodation in front of the place made it possible for people from all over the world to stay overnight and enjoy brunch (there was no way that we get up to breakfast) the next day. good finger food for dinner. and good delicious selection for brunch.
The Mean Fiddler days were more fun, watch a few fights then sleep it off in the field opposite. Now it's your typical suburban family-friendly megapub. The original building is looking worse for wear on the outside and is closed up with the grand entrance...naturally off the car park. The inside of the old section is pleasant and the sprawling courtyards are nice. Staff were ok but a bit in your face. The drinks are a bit expensive, the food is more expensive so I went up the road to Meat Fire instead.
