I must share my disappointment I rang this afternoon to book a table for my birthday with family and friends on Saturday 2nd April 2022 The lovely lady said I can’t book as the fiddler is only accepting 20. occupancy BUT I can walk over...from our motel … ie staying on site to SQUAT on a table to accommodate our 16 guests I’ve been going to the fiddler for over 30 years and I’ve NEVER not been able to book a table … we’ve had Wakes … birthdays …. Weddings and more occasions as this venue and have NEVER known this lack of service … U don’t squat to get a table It’s just not done Carol kendall-richardson Marriage celebrant
Popped in today. Very busy and alot of tables booked. So it's hard to get a decent seat. My wife and I shared a supreme pizza which neither of us could fault. I agree with some of the other reviewers in that the bar staff are hit and miss. They don't seem to look around and understand where it's busy and not so. Every time I've been exactly the same issue. There was a female manager walking around telling them but she was trying to look after the food service as well. That said will go bac k, but if they tweaked it a bit would be alot better.
Booked a table for 4 adults for Sunday lunch and requested in the special request box a table that had a little extra room for my husband who had recent knee surgery so that he could stretch out his leg, we arrived and found our table it was a small low slung round coffee table with 4 small metal stools, absolutely useless and disgraceful, 3 kids couldn't have sat at this table let alone 4 adults with plates and drinks, found a senior staff member who when we explained the problem couldn't have give a flying fig, she walked off, nearby was another table which had just become vacant and we took this table, we went to order our meals at the servery and after paying for the food nearly $150.00 was told that it would be at least 60-90 minutes (they should have told us this before ordering) after waiting nearly an hour the 1 entree ordered come out (the calamari was ordinary at best) and they told us that the rest of the food would be about another 30 minutes when it finally arrived, the pork knuckle, pork belly and fish and chips were ok my mushroom veggie burger was disgusting it tasted awful and cold the cheese had not even melted i asked whether they could heat it up but it would take at least 30 minutes i ate the chips which were nice and crispy and they were warm left the rest on the side, the 2 deserts (Tiramisu cheesecake) ordered took another 30 mins to arrive, they were also quite small not worth the wait or the taste, getting drinks was just as bad, lots of customers very few bar staff. I feel that the food was overpriced for what we ordered, staff slow and couldn't give a hoot about any form of service the place felt like disorganized chaos we never ever be back and we will tell everyone not to go there as you will be extremely disappointed and annoyed at how much money you spent for very basic food.
Great service and food! My daughter and I dined here due to proximity of the Mercure Hotel next door where we were staying. Wow, what a beautiful venue, full of friendly staff, at table ordering (that works), reasonable prices, yummy food and service with a...smile! The venue itself is filled with old world charm with a variety of places to enjoy your food be it indoors or outdoors We enjoyed dinner (burger and mocktails), dessert (Nutella Pizza) and breakfast (the works and pancakes). All of the food was cooked and presented to perfection. What impressed me most was the amount of friendly staff, who appeared genuinely interested that everything was to your satisfaction. Highly recommended!!
A school meeting on the greenway went out without a clinke. comfortable accommodation in front of the place made it possible for people from all over the world to stay overnight and enjoy brunch (there was no way that we get up to breakfast) the next day. good finger food for dinner. and good delicious selection for brunch.
