Really great food and service. Only complaint is the super pricey drinks. I expect $15 cocktails downtown but not in this location outside Austin. The drinks were also quite small. View all feedback.
What Nessa G doesn't like about Shore Raw Grill:
Ehhh it was okay.... I mean I loved my meal I got fish tacos they were yummy..!!! But way too overpriced. It was super packed. But if you have money to spend why not, I rather go to a Mexican restaurant where they serve a whole juicy fish for $25 or less. View all feedback.
While I very much appreciate the fact that this establishment supports live local jazz music I was very disappointed in the meal I chose GULF SEAFOOD DUO. It was way overpriced in my opinion $54). I expected way more quality for that price. The crab didn't even taste that fresh. I'll go back for the music, but I'll be more conservative about splurging on an expensive menu item.
Ridiculously over-priced and after last night, I 'm never coming back. Now let me start by saying I live in the neighborhood and have dined at shore many times. I used to suggest this place to family and friends and on ladies night so we started coming here because we all loved it so much. My in-laws love this place as well and got my husband and I a gift card which we decided to use last night. We had a reservation and our table was in some weird spot in a busy intersection and the restaurant was not that full so I don 't know why we had to be sat there but I didn 't think to much of it in the moment and didn 't say anything. Our server came over fairly quickly to do the introduction and give us the oyster menu. Everything was pretty much downhill from there and took entirely too long for everything. I wasn 't drinking any alcohol last night but my husband ordered the shore Rita which was good but of course took forever and then we ordered eight oysters and thought that they would be out fairly quickly because any other time we 've dined there and got oysters we did not have to wait that long. 25 minutes later when my water was completely empty and I had not seen our waiter for at least 10 to 15 minutes I flagged down a woman that was wandering around and picking up placesettings and asked her if she could check on our oysters and refill my water glass. She asked me who is your server? I turned around and I saw him standing at the high top table behind us taking their order so I pointed him out to her and she said OK. Then instead of him coming over at that time to check on us or maybe refill my water he went over to the other side of the restaurant I think after that he came and refilled my water and then the lady I had just spoken with came over and said that she told the manager and that the manager would be over to talk to us. So then the manager came over and by then the oysters had finally arrived! She asked how our night was going so far and I told her it took 25 minutes to get eight oysters she gave us a very disingenuous I 'm sorry and I hope your night gets better and then that was pretty much it. And much to my dismay our entrées arrived before we were finished with our oysters which was supposed to be an appetizer. The oysters were good I enjoyed them. Our entrées were excellent I got the filet mignon cooked medium rare and it came out to perfection and my husband got the Parmesan crusted fish with crab meat on top and it was really good as well. The manager never came back over at any point during the night to see how things were I never even saw her the rest of the night. I worked in a fine dining restaurant for seven years and if a table were to complain especially about the pace of service the manager was then sharking the table the rest of the night to make sure that they were happy and at a minimum would compensate a round of drinks but not at this establishment. They don 't owe their patrons a thing. We enjoyed our food and tried to carry on with the evening. My husband ordered another beer which you would think wouldn 't take that long since the restaurant wasn 't even that busy and it was another 10 minutes just to get that and by then we were finished with our food and by then I just wanted to get out of there. They brought us a dessert menu but I said I have no interest in giving them any more money, so we went to hopdoddy and got milkshakes and that was the best service we received the whole night and they were fast. The only reason they are getting three stars is because of the quality of the food, but this place is entirely too expensive for the experience to not be amazing. We had a $100 gift card and still spent well over $100 including the tip and I didn 't even drink any alcohol and we didn 't get any dessert, it 's crazy. We 'll never be back and I 'll definitely be spreading the word but Shore, do better.
My husband and I enjoyed our dinner and time at Shore last evening. We ordered drinks and waited quite a while for them because the bar got extremely backed up no problem. When we got them, they were great. For starters we got the ceviche and a bunch of different oysters. I really enjoyed the ceviche and my husband enjoyed his oysters. I got the pick 6 and had fish and shrimp. The fish was cooked perfectly and the tartar sauce was probably the best I've ever had. I really like the Tex Mex blend to it. My husband had the red fish and said it was good, not great not bad. I ordered the pretzel caramel ice cream and hated it . The pretzels were stale and not good in the ice cream at all. That was disappointing for $11. Our meal came out to $250+ and I don't know if I think it was worth near that, but it was good enough that we'll probably go back.
It's great to see Shore come roaring back from the 2yr blight of C19. The few times we dropped in, the place was always sparsely attended and felt a tad sad. It was during these two years, we often chatted with the very affable owner with crystal blue eyes from Louisiana. At the time, there were limited options for my shell fish allergy honey to nosh on, so we weren't as frequent as we wanted to be. Good news, things have changed dramatically. Putting the restaurant back on our routine, we have noticed a sizable surge in popularity and new dishes in the offing as well. On a recent trip, we noshed on Crudo, the every popular Fried Green Tomato's which we get without the crab. Fried Red Snapper Collars and Sauteed Alaskan Halibut. Their Cajun Boudin is superb, especially with their pink pickled onions. We like sitting at the bar, chilling out with fav bartender Royce. All the tenders here are personal and talented, we just happened to know Royce from a previous gig and have history.. if you would. The oyster bar/fish bar is also a great people watching place as well as checking out their talented chef's in the kitchen, whipping up the plates for their diners. They have a large outdoor area as well, with live music on the weekends I believe. The smile on the face of the owner is larger and chairs are being filled. It's a welcome site and a nod to all of our C19 Hangovers slowly getting better.
This is my husband and my go to for seafood but, recently I ordered the redfish, sautéed with crawfish etoufee and was served cod instead of red fish; very disappointing. The other items served were very good, sautéed crab claws, Caesar salad, fried cod and fries, and dessert. Someone needs to do some quality control; not okay :
