Mayfield Dairy Queen - Round Rock

Until recently, Mayfield DQ was always better than the standard locations. My order was wrong, the last two times I left. It has been without complaints for years (except without Jalitos in the menu). I ordered a beltbuster and got a single piece. I said no salad, it had salad. I ordered tacos, and they didn't come with any shredder cheese and were barely filled. It happened twice in a row. Apparently, they have a new cook that cannot follow directions because the entrance showed my correct order. I'm very disappointed because this is my neighborhood DQ. It was so convenient and reliable until now.

I ate this morning. I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger for $6.79 and made it a small combo for $4.69 more. I got $14.85. (13.98 .87 taxes) When I asked why it was so much, I was told that I was charged for a Beltbuster Combo and that my Burger had 2 Patties. Should I? ve checked the burger before I left. I had a normal bacon cheeseburger with 1 Patty, but apparently I paid for 2 Patties. I'm not gonna eat there again when they rip off customers.

Always loved your tacos. You ruined them with the shells you're using now. They now have an old fat taste and leave a bad taste. We threw them both away after we ate half. I hope that's fixed.

Eating was rough. Burger was greasy and soggy. The frits were cold and had a weir acidic taste. I expected a lot more quality for $16 meal. Even BK and Jack-in-the-box are better than that. And the bar is already too low.

After watching my soccer team agonizingly draw in a home game, I decided to stop at a nearby Dairy Queen and drown my frustrations in a Banana Split ?? It worked. The Banana Split was awesome; it hit the spot and after several brainfreeze later, I walked out of there a much happier person. Yep, with ice cream treats like this, life is good.
