I had to use a lot of sign language but I finally got a pretty nice lunch at an affordable price. This is a chain in France. They have great tuna sandwiches. The chocolate tart was a little too chocolatey for me. But sandwich, dessert & drink for 9 EURO...you can't beat it! The staff knew more English than I did French (which isn't saying much). But they worked with me to get my order despite a lot of people waiting.

Walking through the streets of Rouen, we stopped and got a baguette sandwich, chocolate eclairs, and a strawberry tart, all really good. This is on the main street, so easy to stop by. Wonderful place for a quick bite!

144 of us converged at once (as a group without a reservation). It did not worry them at all and they had us seated quickly. The service was good, especially as the restaurant was busy. The food was good, if not memorable. We quite enjoyed ourselves!

Was in this city for 6 months and came here every so often. The pastries are pretty good and baked daily. The baguettes are really good and the espresso is strong. I speak French, which helped a lot and there is a decent size eating...area that is quite cozy where you can sit by the window and admire the city.

Firstly I must say that the pasteries in France is good for the most part but some are more exceptional. My visit today at Paul was sorely a disappointing one. One of the most important aspect of life for myself and should be for everyone,...is HYGIENE! The toilet here was the most indecent one I encountered on entire trip to Rouen. As for the service it was nothing I can speak of. I believe the problem may be the lack of staff. Two people were in attendance behind the counter so this may be the reason for the lack of cleanliness. I believe also that the disregard for people speaking English may be because it is not understood. Therefore instead of acknowledging that he /she cannot understand you, it is easier to ignore you. I have bugan asking if English is spoken and found this better since the person on the opposite feels less insecure. Truthfully insecurity' is the reason why we English people feel neglected and ignored and the reason why the French people or anyone whose language is different, treat us this way. Life is complicated and regardless of what language we speak, where we are or who we are, we all need to show respect to one another. Enjoy your travels and don't allow ignorance take away from the joy of life. If we want something better in life we have to first give the best of what we have! I urge the restaurant owners to take address this issue because a clean environment is a healthy one as well.
