We were walking round Rouen Cathedral and noticed an A board outside this restaurant advertising a duck dish and a fish dish which we thought looked appetising.... read more We were walking round Rouen Cathedral and noticed an A board outside this restaurant advertising a duck dish and a fish dish which we thought looked appetising. We went in , the place was empty but we were a little early and assumed it would fill up shortly. The duck dish was three thin strips of duck breast which was so tough that I could not cut or bite it. (I can only assume it had been microwaved to death! . My wife's dish was a pasta no fish to be seen and was meant to have legumes with it. We showed the lady manager who thought it was fine and charged us the full price. We paid because we do not speak French enough to argue. The place was still totally empty when we left. The locals obviously know what to expect here. We should have walked out as soon as we walked in. We are both in our late 70s. We have eaten all over the world. This was the worst meal we can remember. Avoid. My reviews are generally very positive, I have not enjoyed writing this review, but we must report the truth.
