Hafner Alm is located very nicely in the woods of the "Sutten". No matter if you decide to hike up there or take the car to just 3 minutes parking away - you are up to a special place.Food is traditional - follow the recommendation of the service. What User doesn't like about Hafner Alm:
Location is just phantastic - up the mountains with very idyllic view . Went there about 5 times over last 5 years and is getting worse and worse. Food very inconsistent - sometimes really great and sometimes lousy - also have some serious health concerns (while not expecting up the mountains same standards as I would at any reasonable restaurant - and suggest even an inspection). You can tell that wife of the owner d... Great guy as well.

We went there last Christmas, while we stayed in Rottach Egern and just wanted to walk a bit after all these heavy Christmas meals. After a 20 minutes walk with our kids and Sister, nephew... we arrived at the Alm and wanted a little snack and some drinks. Realizing they had Kaiserschmarrn, I just couln`t resist and to be honest how lucky I couldn`t. This was amazing. Best taste ever and the portion was giant. The others had Käsespätzle also giant and very yummy. Go there for an "urige" experience with very very good valued meals.
We went there by chance, but it was a good decision. It worth the hike up there. The food was great - specific Bavarian cuisine. The place is good after a stroll, resting on the porch and enjoing good food. Also suitable for children, they have lots of animals around that kids can play with. Service was not the best, while it was a little crowded, but good overall. Recommended!
