Bluebell Inn - Rotherham

The fish and chips appeared to be frozen rather than fresh. Which can be acceptable but I would expect a more premium quality than that I could buy from the supermarket and cook myself, especially for the prices charged. The fish was watery and fairly tasteless. The chicken fillet burger was better but for the cost I would have expected a bit more topping than a few scraps of lettuce and a tiny pot of burger sauce. Also drinks prices are extortionate. The lovely beer garden is the only plus for me, which is such a shame as the location of the pub is soo convenient for us.

Wow what an improvement, last time we visited was December with the service so slow that we vowed never to go again but friends said how good it was since reopening that we tried it. We are so pleased we did.... food was lovely, service was great, friendly staff who thoughtfully put us on a table close to door as one of partly was disabled. We will definitely be visiting again!

Went in for a birthday meal for my dad. The staff was lovely as per. The food was also amazing , definitely worth the price. And I’m loving the new look after the refurbishment. Overall great experience and would definitely go again.

The food was lovely, service was quick and staff were friendly and helpful. The desserts were superb too. It was easy to reserve a table and the decor was great and a lovely atmosphere.

Used to eat here all the time but, haven’t been in a while, I booked a table online, we arrived 15 mins before the booking time and bought a bottle of wine (after being told we can just find a table and sit and order when we are ready) had a glass of wine and went to order our food, only to be told there was a 45 minute wait for food!!!! Please tell me, why? Is a booking no longer a booking now? There were two bar staff on and as far as I could see, 1 waiting staff!!!! This is not the staffs fault! Why oh why do employers try and run a successful business on the minimum staff??!!!! Get more staff!! Stop firing the ones you have because they haven’t got four hands!!! Get some more to help blimey it isn’t hard to understand!
