As we were staying here we decided to have dinner too. Service was good, staff all very friendly. Starter of local asparagus with poached egg was nice, main meals of cheeseburger chicken special very good. Generous portion sizes. View all feedback.
What bevb927 doesn't like about The Playden Oasts Inn:
Dreadful place !! Very run down and dowdy inside , service poor on arrival , sat at our table with grubby paper menus .. waited and waited for someone to take our drinks order but no one came ! After waiting for around Fifteen minutes we left .. the bar staff were just standing chatting at the bar and couldn’t have looked more disinterested when we left ! We ate at the kings head two minutes away and it was amazing . View all feedback.

Excellent, the staff are friendly, helpful and go above and beyond to make sure you are satisified. The food choices are many and very very tasty, superbly cooked, delicious. Spotlessly clean, nothing was too much trouble.
