The staff were very nice so no worries there. The fish and chips were the most awful I have ever had. The pub is near the sea yet the fish was clearly months in the freezer. The flesh had no substance. The thin coat of batter was only just cooked, sloppy and no crispness. The chips were also slightly undercooked and the mushy peas clearly from a tin. The four of us had lunch there today. We had four different meals and all agreed that they were as good as you could ever get. Four clean plates! Cannot understand how some of the reviews to be seen on here would ever have happened. Delightful staff who looked after us with good humour too. Many thanks.
