We ate here on Saturday evening. It's a small dining room, mainly catering to hotel guests. The menu is short, no vegetarian options. The food was beautifully presented, well-executed Nouvelle Cuisine IE small portions of lovely but rich food. Vegetables were in short supply. Otherwise it was a very nice meal although not ideal for anyone who's very hungry! . View all feedback.
What Teapots doesn't like about Salts Restaurant in the Rye Lodge Hotel:
The restaurant was not particularly noteworthy. The service was good, but the lack of other diners in the room made for a lackluster atmosphere. The food was decent, but it could use more attention to detail. View all feedback.
I had an incredible experience and I am looking forward to going back soon xx.
The Rye Lodge is a charming place and the town of Rye looked stunning during this season. The tea was delightful and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
The quality and innovation of the food was a surprise. Definitely would eat here again.
This is a rather old fashioned restaurant but we were absolutely delighted with the food which was excellent and not expected. A very good chef.
Nothing wrong with the food but it didn't stand out for me. Perhaps another two options over all would help.
