What John Fox doesn't like about Black Horse Inn:
My family of five went to celebrate two birthdays at this restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful, but despite the pub not being very busy, our food took about an hour to arrive. Two out of the five of us enjoyed our meals, but the lasagna was dry and overcooked, and the beef burgers for two of us were undercooked and came without any dressing or condiments. After a long journey and being turned away from pubs/hotels in Battle because they had stopped serving at or had no food left!!! I then found the the Black Horse. From the word go I had a great experience. Lovely cosy decor, attentative an friendly staff, and fab menu. I had the lasagne with chips and salad. I thorougly recommend this pub View all feedback.
