Charming, warm and inviting. The staff were wonderful. I asked a waitress about a painting on the wall, she laughed, I felt embarrassed. Then she took my hand, led me outside and 50 metres down the road. It was the scene from the painting and the best photo oppurtunity i have ever had. This is not a 5 star hotel, but if you look past the 20 year old wallpaper to the 800 year old mansion that it is, you will have as great of a time that i had.

We live in New Zealand and first visited Goldener Greifen in 2016. We loved it so much we are starting our European holiday there again this year (2018) in one week's time.

Wonderful friendly staff helped with luggage and getting taxi. Room was large modern and spotless. Great ambiance with antique furniture in large 650 year old mayors home. Great food too. Right in Marktplatz so great location. Very reasonable rates. Highly recommend!

Just outstanding, as this great Bed and Breakfast captured a little bit of everything that made this city amazing!
