Für Durchreisende auf der A6 oder Wochenendausflügler, die sich die Burg Abenberg oder das Umland um Nürnberg/Schwabach etwas näher ansehen wollen, sehr verkehrsgünstig gelegen. Die Wirtschaft scheint in den 80er Jahre stehengeblieben zu sein, auch bei den Preisen. Das Essen ist durch und durch traditionell fränkisch. Für Liebhaber der deftigen Küche ein Paradies und die Qualität von Fleisch und Co wirklich lecker! Zeitlich fühlt man sich auch beim Beilagensalat wieder in die Kindheit zurückversetzt, ebenso die Möblierung und der Stil des Hauses lassen Kindheitserinnerungen wahr werden. Leider sind auch die Sanitäranlagen in der Vergangenheit stehen geblieben und haben sich nicht verändert. Grundsätzlich macht der Betrieb einen sauberen Eindruck. Selbst die Bedienung und der Seniorchef wurden konserviert und verstärken den Nostalgie-Effekt. Essen = 4 Sterne, Sanitär und Stil = 3 Sterne, deshalb nur eine Gesamtwertung von 3 Sternen.
