Some diners were disappointed by the quality of the dishes, such as frozen cinnamon rolls and unseasoned chicken picatta. However, others enjoyed the delicious pasta dishes and appreciated the accommodating staff. Overall, opinions on Osteria Mattone vary, with some customers having had excellent experiences while others were not as impressed.
My wife and I had an unforgettable experience to eat outside for a Saturday night. we did not expect so many children for a Saturday night, but we managed to keep it intimate on their outdoor terrace next to a warm fire. this is some of the best scratched Italian food I had lived in over 20 years in the region atlanta. the service is excellent and welcoming. I recommend it in osteria mattone in the beautiful inner city of roswell.
We literally tried to go here three times and missed their opening times each time. - admittedly our fault in planning, lol. finally! he was there at 3:30 a.m. on Mother's Day and wanted to wait until they opened at 4 a.m. patio is first come first serve, btw. we ordered a few great glasses wein, the grilled artichoke hearts and a margarita pizza. everything was cooked and perfectly seasoned! pizza crust was delicious, crisp and done in the middle (one of my sticky points on pizza). the service was top notch. everyone there, from the host, to the bartender and waiter, knew very attentively what they did. also have to mention the atmosphere. inside, so cozy and sweet! the terrace is the showtopper. Tables on the stone terrace are protected by beautiful landscape design from the road and the tables below the large tree are amazing. I'm with a pick-up for the lights hanging on the tree. I'm sure it's magical at night. great experience! we will definitely be back!
Great new menu additions. we had the fritto miso, spinach earthberry salat and 2 amazing pasta dishes. the spring pea ravioli is my new favorite. best terrace on the kanton street!
That was my first time here with a friend of mine and I'll be back in a definitiw. where should I start? liana, our server, was amazing with the recommended for drinking and appetizing. everything she recommended was tasty. we ordered 4 of the appetizers (calamari, meatballs, risottoballs and artichoke) and the beautiful entree pasta. the drinks were so happy and would have sneaked up if I had a few more. overall, from the front hostess (which sat earlier than my reservation) to liana to the ambiente, everything tasted great and we will be back. I also loved the others between the tables. they did not remain like an evil one and went with the mood of the place.
Wonderful Italian restaurant with great alfresco dining located on historic Canyon street. Excellent Roman cuisine offered by the masterful Chef Eric. Great food, service and a wonderful extensive wine list. Starting off with warm grilled Tuscan bread and olive oil; we decided on the braised short ribs and grilled Branzino. The AGNOLOTTI DI OXO -braised short rib stuffed pasta, butter sauce, jus was fantastic combination. The BRANZINO -grilled mediterranean sea bass, capers, grilled broccolini, onion puree was paired with pasta and a buttery white wine cream sauce… perfection. Nice bar area and a beautiful outdoor dining area overlooking Canton Street. Just a great overall experience.
