For 15 people, there were only two pots of coffee and two bottles of water, which weren't refilled despite regular dish collection. The food, unfortunately, wasn't good for the price. There was too little variety. Too many egg dishes and not enough hot options. There was a lack of diversity. For children, there weren't many choices. For almost €40, we really expected more.

The Ratskeller in the basement of Rostock Town Hall is more than just a restaurant. What makes this place truly special is the absolutely unique and fantastic service – it deserves a little Michelin star for hospitality! The staff are genuinely friendly, attentive and take excellent care of their guests. I was deeply impressed by their consistently warm smiles, detailed explanations of the menu and their continuous, proactive checks to ensure we had everything we needed. This service was perfect and exceeded all expectations! The elegant ambience of the old building and the delicious food are great, but it is precisely this impeccable, personal and excellent service that makes the dining experience itself an unforgettable highlight that is second to none.
