As always the food and service were outstanding. It was New Year eve and the place was packed with extra tables and the noise was loud. We've gone to this restaurant many times and will continue to go there to get the best Italian food on the Island View all feedback.
What CathyM doesn't like about Trattoria Dimeo:
I realize this was Christmas Eve but felt rushed. My husband's linguine clam sauce was bland. My daughter son thought their meals were ok. Steak was charred on ends rare in middle (asked for medium rare). I had veal franchese it was very good tender. First time here. Probably won't return we go out for dinner every weekend. Sauce had Absolutely No Taste! Ravioli were the same. Extremely Disappointing.... We went because reviews said best sauce; I think we misread the listing. They Obviously meant, Worst Sauce !
A bit pricey but worth every penny! Very authentic, clean quiet place.
We had a great evening with friends. Our reservations were honored, the service was attentive and friendly. The food was excellent. We shared several appetizers all good and nice sized portions. For entrees : several had the halibut special yum; one had a very generous chicken cacciatore, one had veal . We have been there numerous times and will most definitely return again.
Everybody enjoyed their meals, and the service was excellent.
Exceptional meal. We eat out all the time and by far our favorite Italian in Roslyn/Manhasset. Service was great too! The menu is so unique. I recommend the tuna appetizer or warm kale salad. Dinner-we love the fish specials and bolognese. We will be back on Saturday to celebrate a Birthday-can't wait!
