However, I then sat there and watched as a waiter chatted with his friends for several minutes. A group came in after I did and received their menus, which only added to my irritation. I eventually stood up and made my way to the waiter station to request the manager, feeling the need to voice my concerns. One of my regular waitresses noticed my upset demeanor and approached me to ask what was wrong. I explained my frustration, and she listened. Meanwhile, the waiter attempted to explain his mistake, but I told him to walk away because I was too angry to hear him out. Unfortunately, I couldn't locate the manager—she was apparently tied up at the moment. When I finally saw who it was, my frustration only grew; she had never provided satisfactory service in the past, both as a waitress and now as the night manager, which prompted me to just leave the restaurant. I've noticed that the quality of both food and service has declined over time. When they are performing well, it’s a fantastic experience, and guests leave satisfied. However, when things go wrong, it leaves you wondering what happened to this establishment. I refrained from naming individuals in my review because aside from my regular waitress and the table attendants, I have no reason to point fingers at them. It is the others who weren't performing their duties who need to be addressed.
Overall, the meal was really impressive—maybe even great. The short rib was perfectly cooked, and the fajita was juicy. The combination of the Chile relleno and homemade tortillas made each bite just as delicious as the last. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area; the food is on par with many higher-rated restaurants. That said, I understand why foot traffic is low during the week—the parking situation is limited due to the number of businesses nearby, and its location next to a gas station initially made me hesitant to try it. However, I was pleasantly surprised and glad I decided to give it a shot.
I visit this restaurant at least three times a month, and my favorite part is the street food section. They only offer tilapia for fish, though I wish they would add red snapper to the menu. The margaritas are quite good and a bit cheaper compared to those at chain restaurants like Tex-Mex. The service is consistently above average.
The service was good, but I've had better Mexican food to be honest. I ordered the beef enchiladas and they were kinda dry. The rice and beans were great. The salsa was very watery.
The girl who took our order Thanks for being kind to me. I do not speak Spanish even though I look like I should but she stayed with a professional smile and took my order. Awhile back when I ate here once maybe 3-4 years ago I had a waitress with a bad attitude because I ordered in English. Keep up the great customer service. Food is different, good.
