What Ron Brown doesn't like about Sumo Sushi:
Enjoyed the fact that they had a Bento box with pretty much everything I want i.e. Ca roll, teriyaki chicken, and tempura veggies and shrimp. The miso soup was OK but cold. I had to ask for Wasabi surprisingly. The rice, tempura, and roll were pretty good but the teriyaki chicken was very rubbery and not fresh tasting at all. I had a decent takeout experience. I ordered five different rolls to sample, and I found them to be a good value for the bundled price. The food was quite enjoyable. However, I noticed that several of the rolls tasted remarkably similar, despite having different ingredients. I would have preferred more distinct flavors and a lighter hand with the mayo in the sauce.
Not so good today. They put a fresh roll next to the baked roll, which means the cold roll was warm and the sauces spilled into each other. Much less fish today and barely any sauce or tobilo.
The sushi was falling apart and the balance of ingredients was a bit off. However, the lemon salmon was quite good; I would recommend it.
The pepperfin was best dish out of the 4 we ordered. The fish on the sushi rolls were not fresh and and the fish we ate from the green cucumber roll tasted fishy. The roseville roll was disappointing, had too much cream cheese, and it was not spicy at all.
I was missing an item from my order, and the sushi was disappointing. I wouldn't choose to order from here again.
