Highway Host Family Restaurant

My wife and I and another couple ate at this restaurant last night. Absolutely wonderful food. I had an Prawn Vindaloo (not on the menu, but the chef made it at our request, my wife had a salmon dish, other couple had two pieces of...fish and a salad respectively. A couple of us had a really good chocolate pie for desert. The only waiter was run off his feet as they had an unexpectedly large crowd. Wednesdays are, apparently, their slow night- this was definitely not slow! I compliment the waiter on keeping his cool- he was on the run for the two hours that we were there. THe food is tasty and well prepared.

I ordered Korma this is what I got, it wasn’t good. If you come here I would stick to butter chicken, that was actually pretty tasty last time I got it.

I had a business lunch at this restaurant. The exterior has a bar/club vibe, the interior floor is slightly slanted but the furnishings are well-maintained. The menu offers a variety of Canadian and Indian dishes. I ordered samosas and lamb jalfezi (medium heat level) with naan and rice, which were delicious. It's a wonderful experience to enjoy quality Indian food in a small town.

We were looking for a change of almost food in rosetown and that was an excellent option. I enjoyed the butter chicken and my wife had the gyro wrap! so delicious. the service was great and we had our eating fast. drive them through them maybe... don't choose it on the basis of the outer, but I recommend them to go and enjoy!

Friendly staff. follow the COVID procedure. great food and much of it. enough to take home the next day.
