Wow, what a find! Stopped in the sleepy town of Rosamond near Edward's AFB and stumbled on Patty's Cafe. I was greeted with an air conditioned and inviting interior (the temperature parking lot was 102F). Sat down and immediately got served coffee and a glass of ice water. What Baby Huey doesn't like about Patty's Cafe:
Waitress got our drinks wrong twice we asked for hot coco she got us coke than told us they don't have hot coco new lady finally arrived and alas they do in fact have hot coco and it tasted like the bottom of a shoe ordered food waited and waited finally got it and French toast was soggy and eggs benidict was nasty ? and super sour not at all how it should taste than the bill arrived they did in fact take off eggs be... The biscuits and gravy are my favorite!!!! Staff is so friendly and the food feels homemade !

I went with the vegetable omelet and subbed the potatoes for fresh fruit and toast. The meal filled an extra large plate and was superb. The homemade salsa was a nice touch and I didn't have to ask one time for a coffee refill like magic it just appeared! This will be a regular stop anytime I'm back thru this area. Thank you ladies!

Very well cooked food, nice ambience. Surprise: the omelette was filled with meat.
