People have got to hear about this place and it can get busy so you may have to wait for your food at lunch time. But staff work very hard and it's a good place to stop - even if you only want a cold drink or coffee. View all feedback.
What Sasha Conti doesn't like about le kiosk:
Came with family of five at 15.02 and was told the Kitchen closed at 15.00 - only snacks was possible! Also the tables were dirty and it seems that their succes's have changed the cosy, nice place it was before. We didnt feel welcome and Will nit return even thoug we are frequent visitors to Menton View all feedback.
It was around 2:20 PM and my wife and I were having difficulty finding any restaurant open and serving food. We had just been refused service at a nearby restaurant because it was too close to 2:30, when they close the kitchen. So we walked on to this place. I asked the manager if they were open and he said "do we look open?' We saw a lot of people sitting at the tables. I told him we had just been refused lundh at another place that was also full of people. Anyway he seated us and our waitress came by to take our order. She told us their kitchen was closed but we could order a beverage which we did. We were sitting at a small table with a yellow umbrella. It was about 85 degrees and sunny. Shortly after our drinks arrived, another worker came by and removed the yellow umbrella, but she left the umbrellas at three other similar tables. She muttered something in French which we did not understand. So now we were sitting in the hot sun with no umbrella and no food. We finished our beverages, paid, and left. Customer service? Close to awful!!!! So ... eat at your own risk. We will definitely NOT be back, view or no view.
My wife and I are on a child free weekend for my birthday in Italy. We drove from Nice via Monaco and stumbled on this place as we drove the coast line. Great simple menu with friendly staff st great prices. The salad I had was fantastic (which I Never eat) as was my wife's salad. Fantastic views across the ocean and clearly very popular. I'd stop here again next wine we come this way. No doubt with the kids in tow next time! This is a must visit
The site is fabulous with wonderful views over the Bay of Menton - I only had an ice cream cornetto at 2€ but despite the plastic chairs it seemed a happy place.
There are thousands of little snack/kiosks scattered aroundFrance but the view from ' Le Kiosk ' takes some beating. Youlook at the circle of hills behind Menton and wonder how manymillions of years humanity has evolved to this point where you siton a plastic chair licking your ice cream & perhaps drowned by some form of music - this is evolution.
Was told about this little kiosk on roadside. Was told the served the best hamburgers. So true and what a lovely setting (The location is priceless) to be in to relax and enjoy some time and a snack or a small bite.
